Kingsley Court Residential Home is a small dementia registered home on the Dorchester Road with only 17 bedrooms, all en-suite, with a wonderful mix of residents with varying needs and varying levels of independence.
We have a warm and welcoming team of staff and we are looking for a friendly, reliable and happy individual to come and join our team as a health and social care assistant: The role of a health and social care worker: ‘to help residents with daily living, including personal care (washing, dressing, toileting), mobility, meal times, and medication, while promoting independence and well-being, maintaining records, and ensuring a safe, dignified environment. Key duties involve building relationships, following care plans, supporting activities, monitoring health (temperature, pulse), and reporting changes to senior staff, requiring compassion, patience, and good communication.
We are seeking somebody to work on a FLEXIBLE CONTRACT, someone who has the flexibility to work a varied shift pattern to include a mixture of all shifts as required - no week will be the same. This may also include working occasional night shifts to cover holiday / sickness when required - all to be discussed at interview.
You will be guaranteed your contracted hours between 16 and 20 hours per week.
Our shifts cover the following: 8am - 2pm / 2pm - 6pm / 6pm - 10pm / 10pm - 8am (night shift) - All staff are required to work alternate weekends.
Rotas are produced fortnightly in advance so working patterns are known a minimum of 2 weeks beforehand.
We pay above average hourly rates plus the addition of overtime rates and double pay for shifts covered at short notice. We have on site parking, a wellness programme and a supportive, caring atmosphere to work in.
No experience necessary as full training and opportunity to work towards qualifications provided.
