We're looking for someone with the right attitude, personality and ambition to join our Renault & Dacia Sales Team at Toomey Southend.
If you're currently working in retail, hospitality, travel, beauty, recruitment, property, customer service or another sales environment, your skills could transfer perfectly into automotive sales.
Your First 3 Months – Training & Guaranteed Earnings We don't expect you to walk in knowing how to sell cars. Your first 3 months will be a structured training programme where you'll learn the role while receiving guaranteed earnings of £2,000 per month.
Your training will include:
- Official Renault manufacturer training
- Hands-on sales and dealership training
- Product knowledge across the Renault and Dacia ranges
- Customer enquiry and sales process training
- Support and coaching from three managers with over 30 years' combined motor trade experience
- Ongoing feedback and development to prepare you for the full Sales Consultant role
After Your Training
Once you've successfully completed your 3-month training period, you'll move onto our full Sales Consultant commission structure.

What You'll Be Doing As a Trainee Sales Consultant, you'll learn how to guide customers through the entire journey of choosing and buying their next vehicle.
You'll be responsible for:
- Welcoming customers and understanding their needs
- Helping customers choose the right new or used vehicle
- Responding to enquiries and following up opportunities
- Building relationships with customers
- Presenting and demonstrating Renault and Dacia vehicles
- Conducting customer test drives
- Keeping customers updated throughout their purchase
- Introducing additional products such as service plans
- Maintaining an organised customer diary
- Working closely with other departments
- Delivering an excellent vehicle handover experience
- Supporting occasional dealership and off-site events
Who We're Looking For
Previous automotive sales experience is not essential.
We're looking for someone who is:

Previous experience in sales, retail or another customer-facing role would be beneficial.
Driving Licence Requirements
As the role involves customer test drives, applicants must hold a full UK manual driving licence with no penalty points.
For company insurance purposes, the full licence must have been held for at least one year.
Unfortunately, we cannot consider applicants who currently hold only a provisional licence.
Working Hours This is a full-time, permanent position.
Monday–Friday: 9:00am–6:00pm
Saturday: 8:30am–5:30pm
Alternate Sundays: 10:00am–4:00pm
Bank Holidays: Worked on a rota basis
You'll receive one weekday off each week.
