The Role
Join our production team as an experienced MIG Welder and use your practical skill to create the strong, reliable frames at the heart of Seating Matters clinical chairs. The role combines repeat production welding with prototype and development work, giving you variety while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship. Every weld contributes to a product designed to improve comfort, independence and care for people around the world.

Key Responsibilities
· Carrying out high-quality MIG welding on mild steel components and chair frames
· Completing a mixture of repeat production welding and prototype or development work
· Welding prepared parts accurately using approved jigs, drawings and work instructions
· Setting and adjusting welding equipment to suit the component and material thickness
· Inspecting completed welds and correcting defects to maintain required quality standards
· Maintaining welding equipment and reporting faults or safety concerns promptly
· Meeting daily production targets and working to takt time
· Cross-training and supporting other manufacturing areas when required
· Participating in team meetings and daily production communication
· Supporting continuous improvement while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Essential Criteria
· Proven practical experience in MIG welding
· Ability to produce strong, consistent and visually acceptable welds
· Ability to follow drawings, work instructions and quality standards accurately
· Ability to work safely, independently and as part of a team
· Positive attitude & eagerness to learn new production skills
· Ability to meet daily targets and work efficiently under pressure
Desirable Criteria
· Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
· Experience with mild steel frames, jigs or repeat production welding
· Experience supporting prototype, development or low-volume manufacturing work
