Job Introduction
Pinnacle Group are looking for an Assistant Commercial Manager to join our Asset Management Team within the Homes Division supporting the delivery of commercial governance across a portfolio of housing, property management and multi-site FM contracts. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will assist with contract mobilisation, contract administration, financial performance monitoring, cost recovery activities, supply chain reviews and commercial reporting. The role will play an important part in maintaining commercial controls, supporting contract compliance, coordinating governance processes and helping to maximise contract value while ensuring key contractual commitments are effectively managed.
Our Homes Division delivers trusted housing management services across Affordable, Private Rented and Leasehold properties. We work with local authorities, registered providers and investors to support thriving communities.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting commercial operations within housing, facilities management, property management or similarly contract-driven environments. They will possess strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret contractual and financial information, identify risks and opportunities, and produce accurate reports and supporting documentation. Highly organised and detail-oriented, they will be confident maintaining commercial trackers, registers and governance records, while building effective working relationships with operational, finance and commercial stakeholders.
This is a hybrid role with travel required to Holborn, London.

Key responsibilities will include:

Experience supporting contract mobilisation activities, including mobilisation planning, obligation tracking and implementation support.

Ability to review and interpret contractual obligations and translate requirements into operational delivery plans, trackers and governance processes.

Experience maintaining mobilisation action logs, obligation registers, risk trackers and contract documentation.

Understanding of commercial governance frameworks and experience supporting governance meetings, reporting and action management.

Experience providing contract administration and contract interpretation support within a housing, property management, FM or service-contract environment.

Track record of monitoring and reporting on contract compliance, identifying contractual risks, issues and opportunities.

Experience supporting change control, contract variations, instructed works or additional services processes.

Ability to identify and support cost recovery, revenue protection and contractual entitlement claims.

Experience reviewing client-funded activities, preparing commercial submissions and ensuring costs are correctly allocated and recharged.

Strong financial analysis skills, including reviewing contract profitability, cost performance, trends and variance analysis.

Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting and commercial performance tracking.

Ability to maintain and report on commercial risks and opportunities, providing accurate updates and recommendations.

Experience supporting client meetings, commercial reviews, negotiations and issue resolution, including preparing briefing papers and action notes.

Knowledge of supply chain management, including supplier performance reviews, cost analysis, value-for-money initiatives and procurement support.

Strong stakeholder management, organisational and communication skills, with experience working collaboratively with commercial, operational, finance, procurement and client stakeholders while maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting.
Key Requirements:

Ability to analyse financial and operational data to identify commercial risks, issues, trends and opportunities.

Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, commercial reporting and performance monitoring activities.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate trackers, registers, documentation and audit trails.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across operational, finance, commercial and client teams.

Knowledge of commercial contract frameworks (e.g. NEC/JCT), open-book or cost-plus arrangements, and best-practice approaches to procurement, supply chain governance and contract mobilisation would be advantageous.
