Role
As a trainee Production Operative you will be based in our worktop factory, working closely with many forms of engineered stone, sintered stone and natural materials, ensuring our quality and service levels are met on every order. On the job training will be provided. The role is physically demanding at times as stone products vary in weight and size, therefore please ensure you are comfortable with this before applying.
Responsibilities
- Operating tools and machinery to fabricate stone based worksurfaces
- Working from customer drawings, CAD etc
- Accuracy and measuring skills essential
- Working to deadlines to meet customer demand
- Managing individual workload to ensure deadlines are met
- Suitable candidates will be considered for CNC / Saw training

About you
- Experience in the stone worktop / fireplace industry is preferred, but not essential
- Practical experience using power tools is preferred
- Strong work ethic with a keen eye for detail
- Fork lift truck license desirable,- counterbalance
- Comfortable with manual handling of products
- Good communicator with a confident, clear and friendly manner
- Works well as part of a team
- Would suit ex joinery / tiling apprentice with practical skills
Job
- Full time, Monday – Friday
- Mon - Thurs 0600 - 1600, Fri 0600 - 1100
- Overtime often available
- Immediate start required
- Hourly wage paid weekly - to reflect age & experience
