Part-Time Loss Prevention Assistant - Rejects Department Store
Location: Kirkcaldy - Pay: £12.71 - £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)Hours: 15 hours per week. Working Pattern: One weekday plus Saturday and Sunday
About the Role
Rejects Department Store is looking for a reliable and observant Part-Time Loss Prevention Assistant to join our Store Security Department. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail who is passionate about helping maintain a safe and secure shopping environment for both customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor store activity to prevent theft, fraud, and stock loss.
- Conduct regular security patrols throughout the store.
- Observe and report suspicious behaviour in accordance with company procedures.
- Support management in investigating incidents and security concerns.
- Assist in ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and observations.
- Work closely with store colleagues to promote a safe and secure environment.
- Provide a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.
Experience & Skills Required
- Previous experience in Loss Prevention, Retail Security, Security Officer, Store Detective, or a similar role is preferred.
- Experience working in a retail environment would be advantageous.
- Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult situations.
- Honest, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Good customer service skills and a professional appearance.
- SIA licence beneficial but not essential.
Hours
- 15 hours per week.
- One weekday shift plus Saturday and Sunday.
- Additional hours may occasionally be available to cover holidays and busy trading periods.
