Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional AD HOC PSV MINI BUS & COACH DRIVER to join our team on an as-needed basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining the vehicle to a high standard. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work across various assignments, contributing to a well-organised and efficient transportation service. A valid driver licence and relevant experience are essential for this position.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate mini buses and coaches in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
- Transport passengers to designated locations efficiently and punctually
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and roadworthiness
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing assistance as needed and ensuring a positive experience
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, mileage, and vehicle condition
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage or equipment when required
- Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior after each journey
Qualifications
- Valid driver licence with a clean driving record
- Enhanced DBS
- Tacho Card
- CPC Cards & Papers up to date
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably within passenger transport or delivery roles
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting tasks
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to interact professionally with passengers and team members
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work flexibly on an ad hoc basis, often at short notice
- Experience with delivery driving or similar roles is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and vehicle checks
