Job Title: Decarbonisation Sales Advisor
Department: Phoenix Decarbonisation
Location: Stoke-on-Trent (Office Based)
Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 basic salary + commission (OTE £40,000–£45,000)

About Phoenix Decarbonisation
Phoenix Decarbonisation is helping homeowners and social housing providers reduce carbon emissions through the installation of Air Source Heat Pumps, Solar PV, Battery Storage and other energy efficiency measures.
As our renewables division continues to grow, we are looking for a customer-focused Decarbonisation Sales Advisor to manage warm enquiries, build customer relationships and convert opportunities into completed installations.
This is a consultative sales role where outstanding customer service is just as important as achieving sales targets.
Purpose of the Role
To manage inbound and qualified customer enquiries, providing expert advice on renewable technologies and energy-saving solutions while guiding customers confidently through the sales journey from initial enquiry to confirmed installation.
Working closely with surveyors, technical teams and project coordinators, you will ensure customers receive an exceptional experience and every opportunity is maximised.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact customers who have expressed an interest in Air Source Heat Pumps, Solar PV and other renewable technologies.
- Build positive relationships with customers through regular communication.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable renewable energy solutions.
- Explain the benefits of Air Source Heat Pumps, Solar PV, Battery Storage and energy efficiency improvements in a clear and confident manner.
- Educate customers on expected energy savings, environmental benefits and available funding schemes where applicable.
- Produce and explain quotations.
- Proactively follow up quotations to maximise conversion rates.
- Keep customers informed throughout the sales journey.
- Liaise with surveyors, technical administrators and installation teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Resolve customer queries professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records using the company CRM system.
- Ensure every opportunity is progressed and closed wherever possible.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience while achieving monthly sales targets.

Essential Experience
- Experience in a Decarbonisation Sales Advisor role
- Previous experience in a customer service and sales environment.
- Excellent telephone and communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building and customer engagement skills.
- Experience managing customers throughout a sales process.
- Ability to confidently overcome objections and close sales.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
- Experience using CRM systems.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Essential Knowledge
- Good understanding of Air Source Heat Pumps.
- Good understanding of Solar PV systems.
- Knowledge of domestic energy-saving measures, including insulation, ventilation and battery storage.
- Ability to explain technical information in simple, customer-friendly language.
- Understanding of the customer journey from enquiry through to installation.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience within the renewables, utilities, home improvement or construction sectors.
- Knowledge of the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) and other government funding initiatives.
- Experience selling renewable energy or low-carbon technologies.
- Understanding of MCS-accredited installations and domestic retrofit.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have a strong background in customer service and consultative sales, with experience managing customers from initial enquiry through to completion. They will be knowledgeable about Air Source Heat Pumps, Solar PV and domestic energy-saving measures, capable of explaining technical information in an easy-to-understand way, and driven to convert warm leads into successful installations while delivering an outstanding customer experience. Their focus will be on building trust, overcoming objections and ensuring every viable opportunity progresses to a completed sale.
Pay: £32,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
