2 x Voluntary Sector Front Door Officers (Adult Social Care)
37 hours per week (Mon – Fri)
Salary: £28,500 per annum

SAVS supports, promotes and represents the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector in Southend. This post forms part of a partnership model between the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector (VCFSE) and SCC.
Purpose of this post is to provide knowledge and resources to the Southend City Council Adult Social Care Contact Centre and support residents with up to date information, advice and direct signposting at first point of contact. To provide a quicker more informed response from the service for advice, info and signposting.
Principal duties:
· To deal with a range of enquiries (via telephone and some in person), processes and procedures by various channels from both external and internal customers contacting the adult social care contact centre
· To take direct calls from local residents or follow up on more complex advice and signposting in a call back style
· Support quicker resolution to requests for guidance and to improve people’s personal situation.
· Ensure that all individuals who pass through the service are accurately recorded, following up to ensure that they have received good support; completing monitoring as required, to demonstrate outcomes of the service.
· Communicate effectively and efficiently with colleagues, management and internal departments
The successful candidate will ideally have experience working within a voluntary or community group, or with a range of agencies, and will have a strong network/knowledge of contacts.
