This role is pivotal to the future expansion of the business and therefore the opportunity for earning growth will be determined by the individual.
The senior Director is looking to step down from his duties with one of the other partners replacing his role. The ideal candidate will help and report to this partner in the transition.
We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our small team, reporting to the Director. At the present time, experience of working in Accountancy Practice is more important to us than the qualification status of candidates. The candidate should hit ground running with minimal supervision but with the support of existing bookkeeping team. It is expected that the candidate will develop into fully managing the bookkeeping team.
You will be capable of working independently, inputting financial information and be confident with the preparation of sole trader, partnership and Limited Company accounts, VAT Returns, monthly accounts, Corporation and Self-Assessment Tax returns, etc.
This is a client facing role, and the candidate will be required to liaise with clients spanning from many industries. Ideally, candidate will also be confident to meet with prospective new clients. Some off-site client visits will also be required. Therefore, candidate will need to be confident with excellent written and spoken client communication skills. An ability to independently manage your time, as well as working as part of a team is crucial.
The ideal candidate will have the following requirements;
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Accountancy Practice is essential.
· Computer literacy
· Accountancy software experience is compulsory.
· CIS knowledge.
· Payroll experience.
· Knowledge of TaxCalc would be an advantage.
A competitive salary is negotiable dependant on ability and experience.
Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 9-5 with a hour for lunch
30 days of holiday including bank holidays.
Pay: £29,500.00-£35,000.00 per year
