Bayt is a specialty coffee house built on warmth and intention. We work with quality beans, create thoughtful brunch and bakes, and believe hospitality is more than service - it's connection. We're a small team in Leicester, and we're looking for someone who shares that philosophy.
The Role
You'll be our Coffee Shop Manager, leading the day-to-day running of Bayt. You're an experienced barista first - espresso, pour-over, milk drinks, you know your way around a bar and take pride in every cup - but you'll also take ownership of the space, the team, and the standards we hold ourselves to. You'll work the till and the bar alongside the team, while also managing rotas, stock, and daily operations, and making sure the calm, welcoming atmosphere we've built stays consistent even when you're not the one on shift.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience working in specialty coffee, with some experience in a supervisory or management role
- Technical skills: espresso, milk steaming, latte art
- Confidence managing rotas, stock ordering, and day-to-day operations
- Ability to train, support, and bring out the best in a small team
- Consistency and attention to detail across service, quality, and standards
- Genuine hospitality - you connect with people without forcing it
- Reliability and the ability to take ownership when things need solving
- Ability to work independently and lead as part of a small team
