We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Housekeeper to help lead our housekeeping team at a busy hotel in Whitley Bay.
The successful candidate will lead by example, ensuring high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel while supporting the day-to-day organisation of the housekeeping department.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the housekeeping team.
- Allocate daily cleaning duties and monitor progress.
- Clean and service guest bedrooms and public areas to a high standard.
- Inspect completed rooms to ensure quality standards are met.
- Train and support new housekeeping staff.
- Monitor linen, toiletries and cleaning stock, reporting shortages when required.
- Report maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure health & safety and cleaning procedures are followed at all times.
- Assist with deep cleaning and departmental organisation.
- Work closely with Reception and Management to ensure rooms are available for arriving guests.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience is essential.
- Previous supervisory or senior housekeeping experience is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual and able to motivate a team.
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work weekends and bank holidays as required.
- A positive attitude with a hands-on approach.
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
