About Go Power
Go Power is one of the leading independent electricity suppliers on the island of Ireland, part of the LCC Group. We are now investing beyond supply, developing new energy infrastructure and flexibility capabilities.
The role
We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to drive the delivery of major energy projects - from commercial close through procurement, build and commissioning into operation. These are first-of-their-kind projects for the business, delivered alongside industrial partners, technology vendors, network operators and market bodies.
You will report to the Head of Commerce, who retains overall ownership of the portfolio. Your job is day-to-day delivery: keeping workstreams, suppliers and programmes on track.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day delivery — programme, budget tracking, risk and quality — from contract award to commissioning and handover
- Run procurement: RFQs, vendor evaluation, due diligence, and support negotiation of supply, warranty and O&M contracts
- Progress grid connection and market registration workstreams with system and network operators
- Coordinate host sites, advisers, group companies and regulators
- Maintain governance: reporting, risk registers and change control
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, market, H&S and CDM obligations
What we're looking for
Essential
- Significant project management experience (typically 7+ years) in the energy sector
- Strong power markets knowledge (e.g. SEM/I-SEM or GB), such as capacity mechanisms, system services or market registration
- Track record in areas such as battery storage, demand-side flexibility, generation or grid connections
- Strong commercial skills: procurement, contract negotiation, vendor and budget management
- Excellent stakeholder management; organised and able to drive multiple workstreams at pace
Full driving licence, with travel to sites across NI and ROI
