We are a specialist non‑emergency patient transport service supporting individuals with mental health needs. Our work is compassionate, purposeful, and often life‑changing — and we’re looking for caring, reliable people to join our team as Ambulance Care Assistants. No driving licence is required for this role.
About the role
You will work as part of a dedicated ambulance crew, supporting patients who may be experiencing acute mental health crisis or who require assistance due to mobility needs. This is a hands‑on, people‑focused role where every shift makes a difference.
We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, offering flexible hours that can fit around your personal commitments. This is a zero‑hours contract with regular opportunities for work.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting, moving, and supporting patients safely and respectfully
- Supporting individuals who may be ambulatory or wheelchair‑dependent
- Using appropriate equipment to manoeuvre patients into and out of the vehicle
- Ensuring patients are secure, comfortable, and safeguarded throughout transport
- Managing and de‑escalating challenging or aggressive behaviour
- Working collaboratively with your crew partner to ensure safe, high‑quality care
