Nurture, Grow & Learn Nursery are looking for a Assistant Chef to join our friendly and supportive team team. You will support the chef in ensuring the children experience a variety of healthy balanced nutritious foods throughout the day.
The normal hours of work for the role are between 7:30 AM-4:00PM, we could offer flexibility within the timings for the right candidate. The suitable candidate will be expected to step up in the absence of the Nursery Chef to cover holidays, sickness, etc.
Responsibilities:
Support the chef in providing healthy, balanced, nutritious freshly prepared meals in line with food safety regulations and best practice guidelines.
- Assist the chef in day to day running of the kitchen.
- Managing the kitchen in the chef’s absence
- Maintain high hygiene standards in the kitchen, including regular high and low level cleaning of surface and equipment
Previous kitchen experience is desired. A level 2 qualification in food hygiene would be an advantage.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
