The Quality Inspector’s role is to ensure that all goods coming into or leaving the premises are thoroughly inspected to ensure the highest possible quality standards. This role will also include the measurement of internally manufactured parts and verification externally received product to support the creation and verification of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) significant/critical characteristics. This role is part of the continuous improvement at Busch GVT Ltd to produce the best pumps, compressors and vacuum equipment for their customers.
The role holder needs to have the right attitude and willingness to work as part of a team is essential. Any training that is required to fulfil the tasks of the role will be provided.
· Carry Out In-Process Inspections.
· To carry out final inspection of finished machine components.
· To carry out pre-dispatch inspection of pumps and spares.
· Incoming inspection of castings, components or base frames etc. entering the business ensuring compliance to design specification and contractual requirements.
· To carry out Sample checking from subcontractors.
· To regularly check all measuring equipment used is in calibration (works and personal). Including measurement validation checks using master calibration items.
· Complete, as required, any defect reports for faulty components, and suggest preventative action.
· Ensure any approved preventative action is implemented.
· To undertake internal quality audits on a regular basis in line with the audit schedule.
· To assist the Quality Engineer with statistical data and reports as necessary.
· Assisting when necessary, with the preparation and supply of quality documentation as directed by the Quality Engineer / Manager.
· Programme the CMM and work to models or drawings (training will be provided)
· Faro arm checks working to drawings (training will be provided)
· To identify and record any non-conformances (NCR’s) to specification requirements and maintain relevant NCR reports
· To generate internal measurement reports.
· To produce and maintain accurate inspection records
· Control defective items via documentation and segregation from good product.
· Adhere to all instructional and Health & Safety guidelines for the use of equipment, to maintain a safe work environment
· Measurement of parts using CMM and hand measurement devices.
· To manage and deliver individual projects defined for business requirements
Working hours- Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week
