Barista – Lost Sheep Coffee POD, Canterbury
Location: Canterbury Bus Station
Hours: 18–30 hours per week
Pay: £13.00 per hour
Working Pattern: Monday–Sunday rota
Shift Times: 7:15am–1:15pm or 12:45pm–6:45pm (6-hour shifts)
About the Role
Lost Sheep Coffee is looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at our Canterbury POD.
We are passionate about serving exceptional coffee and creating a welcoming experience for every customer. We're looking for someone who shares that passion—someone who genuinely enjoys coffee, takes pride in making great drinks, and wants to learn more about speciality coffee. Barista experience is desirable, but a positive attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for coffee are just as important.
Please note: This role is based in an outdoor kiosk environment. While the kiosk is covered and equipped for year-round trading, you will be working in varying weather conditions, including colder temperatures during the winter months.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing high-quality coffee and other drinks to Lost Sheep Coffee standards
- Delivering excellent customer service and creating a positive customer experience
- Taking orders and handling payments accurately
- Keeping the kiosk clean, organised, and well-presented throughout the day
- Assisting with opening and closing procedures
- Replenishing stock and reporting low stock levels
- Following all food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Working efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality and service standards

Desirable Experience
- Previous barista experience
- Experience working in hospitality, retail, or customer-facing roles
- Food Hygiene Certificate (not essential)
