Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Oversee food production, preparation, and presentation to meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Develop menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes
- Train and mentor staff to enhance skills, efficiency, and teamwork within the kitchen
- Monitor staff performance, conduct appraisals, and foster a positive working environment
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain accurate records of food stock levels, wastage, and safety checks
- Implement health and safety policies to minimise risks within the kitchen environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen or restaurant setting
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Experience in menu development, food production management, and cost control
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and management
- Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is highly desirable

Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour
