Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Water and Fire Damage Technician, where you will play a vital role in restoring properties affected by water and fire incidents. You will utilize a variety of tools and techniques to perform thorough damage assessments, perform cleanup, and assist in reconstruction efforts. Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of water and fire-damaged properties to evaluate extent of damage
- Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment to remove debris, dry out affected areas, and prepare sites for repairs
- Assist in the removal of damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation with precision and safety awareness
- Operate equipment like moisture meters, dehumidifiers, air movers, and other restoration tools to facilitate drying and cleanup processes
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with hazardous materials or in challenging environments
- Collaborate with team members to develop effective restoration plans and execute tasks efficiently
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and progress updates for each project
Experience
- Prior experience with hand tools, power tools, or construction work is highly preferred
- Construction experience or familiarity with building materials enhances your ability to perform repairs effectively
- Ability to work physically demanding tasks in various environments while maintaining safety standards
- Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail during inspections and repairs
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
- BDMA, IICRC or Dew Point Accredited
