York Learning is a high achieving and successful learning provider, rated by Ofsted as a ‘good’ provider of Further Education and Training. We are seeking to appoint two organised and enthusiastic people to join our exams team, helping with the organisation of a variety of exams from a range of exam boards.
Applications are sought from experienced administrators, preferably, but not exclusively, with knowledge and previous experience of organising and conducting exams in an education setting. Candidates will enjoy working to strict deadlines and responsibilities will include the inputting, maintaining and quality checking of data relating to learners on bespoke databases. Accurate record keeping and attention to detail is key to this role. In addition, you will be flexible and adaptable and have good communication and IT skills. You will have interpersonal skills that help to make the exam process accessible to learners with a variety of needs.
York Learning is a fantastic team to work with and this is a unique opportunity for you to be part of an enthusiastic team who are committed to supporting our learners throughout the exam process, from initial registration, sitting exams, to receiving exam results, to achieve the best possible outcomes from their learning.
We are currently recruiting to two roles, one full time (37 hours) temporary contract for one year, and one part time (30 hours) permanent contract.
This position is suitable as a job sharing opportunity.
The Council is committed to investing in the talent and wellbeing of our staff and can offer a generous annual leave allowance, access to the Local Government Pension Scheme, comprehensive Health & Wellbeing initiatives and a reward package which recognises your contribution. We can offer flexible working practices, community engagement and volunteer activities and, as part of our commitment to you, promote continuous Learning & Development. In addition we also offer a growing range of discounts, rewards and savings.
Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
