Due to continued demand for our services, we are seeking a full time Business Assistant for our HK Life Team. The role will be based at our Bournemouth office in Southbourne.
HK Life provides a bespoke Management of Affairs (MOA) service for clients, families, and Attorneys, in relation to Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters. This role will involve providing general administrative support to the Fee Earners within the team
The role
The position will be varied and fast paced and will involve extensive liaison with local agencies, care homes and social services. There will be an emphasis on building strong cross-party relationships and ensuring high standards of client service. Many of our clients are elderly and/or vulnerable and therefore, work is undertaken with a high regard for confidentiality , diplomacy and compassion. Training will be provided in relation to drafting documents, form filling and managing files and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of administration and client service skills.
Who we are looking for
You must possess at least a level 4 qualification within a relevant subject, or the equivalent level of knowledge through experience. Ideally you will also have at least 6 months administration experience gained from a relevant environment (such as social services, care services, medical practice, law firm etc), although this is not essential. Most importantly, you will need to be familiar with working on computers, have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), a strong work ethic, and be naturally empathetic and caring in your manner. You must hold a UK driving license with access to a car and be happy to travel off site to attend appointments (predominantly within the Dorset area).

Annual salary: from £23,000- £25,000 (dependent upon level of skills/experience)
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm with a 1 hour unpaid break (35 hour week)
