Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a Class 2 lorry to collect and deliver skips across various locations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV lorry, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Collect and deliver skips to designated locations, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Assist with loading and unloading skips, ensuring proper handling and securing of loads.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks, including inspections of tyres, brakes, lights, and other essential equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections, including paperwork and digital logs.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience involving skips or waste work.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple jobs.
- Strong communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and team members.
- Physically fit to handle manual tasks associated with loading/unloading skips.
- A responsible attitude towards safety and compliance with legal requirements for commercial drivers.
Pay: £650.00-£770.00 per week
