R. Plevin & Sons Ltd have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Process Operative (Nights) to join our busy team based at our Boston (PE21 7ST) site. Working on a part-time, permanent basis you will receive a competitive salary with a starting rate of £13.91 per hour - there is potential to earn more on our progressive pay band to £14.73 per hour, if you are keen to learn and develop.
Hours of Work:
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (18:00-06:00 hours) - 34.5 hours per week
R. Plevin & Sons is one of the UK market leaders in wood recycling and a manufacturer of animal bedding. At our Boston site we produce wood pellets/wood based cat litter and have a hay and straw baling plant.
As our Process Operative your duties will include:
- Full adherence to health and safety procedures and site rules
- Checking and operating the cat litter/wood pellets plant in accordance with quality and safety procedures
- Carrying out regular quality checks to ensure the product is at a consistent standard
- Putting finished products into stock locations
- Carrying out housekeeping duties, including cleaning and basic machine maintenance
The role is performed both inside and outside in a busy yard and there is some manual handling involved in the role.
Key skills and experience needed to become our Process Operative:
Previous experience of operating a FLT is essential, along with a valid FLT licence.
The ideal candidates will be self motivated, have good attention to detail and will be keen to learn and develop.
