We are looking to expand our dedicated transport team of minibus passenger attendants, transporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in our fleet of 16-seater minibuses to a range of schools throughout the borough and beyond.
You will ensure that a high-quality passenger transport service is delivered to our customers by assisting passengers, assistant drivers and contributing to a safe and efficient Transport Service.
Experience of working with people with special needs is desirable although training will be provided for suitable applicants. This post is both physically and mentally demanding and you must be prepared to work as part of a team.
The working pattern is generally between 6.30 am until 10.00am then 2:15pm until 18.00pm daily but this will vary.
The service requires people to be available at peak times of operation. You may also be required to work additional hours as the service requires.
Due to the requirements of the role, the post holder must be aged 18 or over.
The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. Applicants to posts that are exempted from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
