Café Supervisor – Outwoods Café
£13.00 per hour | 4-5 days per week | 6–8 hour shifts
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Café Supervisor to join the team at our Outwoods Café.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working in a busy café environment, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service and can confidently lead a team while maintaining high standards.
The role
We expect to offer 4-5 days per week, with shifts of approximately 6–8 hours. Flexibility is important, as the role will include both opening and closing shifts, with weekend working essential.
Our usual hours are:
- Opening shifts: from 8.15am
- Closing shifts: until 4.30pm
- Summer closing shifts: until approximately 5.30pm
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team
- Experience with stock control and ordering
- A strong eye for detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and customer service
- Experience working in a café or similar hospitality environment
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, hands-on approach
- The ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy environment
- Reliable transport to and from the café — there are no public transport links serving the café, so applicants must be able to reliably get to work for early starts and closing shifts
Desirable experience
The following would be highly preferred:
- Food preparation experience
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene
- Barista and coffee-making experience
The successful candidate will be someone who is reliable, organised and confident taking responsibility for the café and team during their shift.
