Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Manager to oversee all aspects of catering operations within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and a comprehensive understanding of food safety and hospitality standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage diverse catering events, lead a team of dedicated staff, and ensure exceptional service delivery across various settings including corporate, social, and special events. The Catering Manager will be responsible for maintaining high-quality food production, supervising staff, and ensuring client satisfaction at all times.
Duties
- Plan, organise, and manage catering operations for weddings, temple events etc. Supervise kitchen and service staff, food safety compliance, and high quality output. Oversee menu planning for Gujarati and Indian vegetarian cuisine, including festival specific menus. Coordinate food production, ensuring dishes are prepared authentically and meet cultural and religious expectations. Manage staff, equipment, food quantities, and onsite service arrangements. Liaise with temples and community leaders to understand event requirements and dietary rules. Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations, allergen requirements, and health & safety standards.
- Train and mentor catering staff, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to traditional cooking methods. Oversee setup and service at events, ensuring professional presentation and customer satisfaction. Required experience or qualifications: Educated to a degree level or similar. Experience in a similar job role.
