Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work at heights. Responsibilities
- Install new roofing systems using various materials such as tiles, shingles, metal sheets, and flat roofing membranes.
- Repair and maintain existing roofs to ensure longevity and safety.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and specifications to determine materials needed and installation procedures.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
- Use carpentry skills to construct roof structures and support frameworks.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as timber, tiles, or metal sheets safely and correctly.
- Assist with plumbing or masonry tasks related to roofing projects where necessary.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite throughout each project.
Experience
- Previous experience in roofing or general construction is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of schematics, welding techniques, and fabrication processes is advantageous.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and heavy lifting is essential.
- Experience working at heights and on scaffolding or ladders is preferred.
- Familiarity with roofing materials such as tiles, shingles, metal sheets, or membranes will be beneficial.
- Certification in health & safety practices related to construction work is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level roles.

Pay: £100.00-£130.00 per day
