Experienced Mechanic Wanted —
Self-Employed / Contract Location: Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire (SA19)
Basis: Self-employed / sub-contract Rate: [£13 - £20 per hour — depending on experience] We're a busy independent garage in Llangadog. We're looking for a good, experienced mechanic to join us on a self-employed basis — someone who can take a job, and do it properly.
About us We're a friendly independent garage serving Llangadog and the surrounding area. We're well set up for the range of work we take on — cars, vans and light commercials — so you'll have what you need to get the job done right.
The role day to day, you'll run your own bay. We need someone who can work through their jobs on their own, get them finished in good time, and to a high standard — because looking after the customer's vehicle properly is what keeps them coming back.
What you'll do - Service, repair and fault-find on cars, vans and light commercials. Run your own bay and manage your own workload. Get jobs done within the time and to a high standard. Look after the customer's vehicle and flag any extra work that's needed. Keep your work area clean, tidy and safe.
What we're looking for Plenty of hands-on experience as a mechanic — formal qualifications are welcome, but time-served, proven experience counts just as much
Able to work on your own and manage your bay within the timeframe of the job.
Good, honest work you're happy to stand behind.
A full UK driving licence
Your own hand tools
Handy, but not essential:
Air-con work
Experience with vans and light commercials
Rate & terms This is a self-employed, sub-contract arrangement.
Rate is [£13 - £20/hr, depending on experience]. This is a full time position and hours can be sorted between us.
