Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our busy dining establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas
- Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to culinary standards and recipes
- Monitor service delivery to ensure guests receive prompt and courteous attention
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and optimise table turnover
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the premises
- Assist in training new staff members and provide ongoing coaching to improve team performance
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on food production schedules and menu updates
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control wastage effectively
- Support marketing initiatives and organise special events or promotions
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
- Competence in food preparation, cooking, and general kitchen experience
- Previous restaurant experience with an understanding of service operations and hospitality protocols
- Effective communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience in managing reservations, serving guests, and handling customer relations
- Knowledge of barista skills or bar management
