Duties
- Supervise daily food production activities, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards
- Manage and lead kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster teamwork and high performance
- Oversee food preparation processes, including cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative culinary techniques
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as necessary, and minimise waste
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned according to health regulations
- Provide training to new staff members on food safety procedures and operational protocols
- Uphold excellent customer service standards during service hours, including serving guests when required
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, kitchen management or hospitality roles with a focus on culinary excellence
- Supervising experience within a restaurant or catering environment is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (HACCP certification preferred)
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
- Background in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the business needs
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards customer service and team collaboration
Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
