Job Summary
We are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join our down to earth legal team. This role involves supporting property transactions by managing documentation, coordinating communication between clients and solicitors, and ensuring smooth progression of conveyancing processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and strong organisational abilities. This position offers an opportunity to develop within a professional legal environment, providing valuable experience in property law.
Duties
- Coordinate communication between clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and solicitors to facilitate smooth conveyancing processes
- Compliance with anti-money laundering regulations
- Assist with the preparation and review of legal documents related to property transactions
- Manage and maintain accurate records of case files and documentation using our case management system
- Monitor progress of transactions to ensure timely completion and compliance with legal requirements
- Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, and correspondence management
- Support the team with general administrative duties as required to ensure efficient workflow
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and professionals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good understanding of IT systems relevant to legal administration
- Effective time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English is required for clear communication and documentation purposes
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with a professional attitude
