Advanced Mail Direct (ADM) is a leading direct mail and fulfilment company, providing innovative mailing and print solutions to clients throughout the UK. Our production facility operates a range of specialist automated machinery, and we are seeking an experienced and motivated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer with strong electrical competencies who enjoys a varied, hands-on role involving machinery maintenance, fault finding, continuous improvement and site projects.
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency and performance of our production equipment and facilities. The role will involve both reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across our specialist direct mail machinery and supporting infrastructure.
Key machinery includes:
- Polywrapping machines
- Paper wrapping machines
- Glue application systems
- Inkjetting equipment
- Envelope enclosing machines
- Conveyor systems
- Associated production and finishing equipment
Working closely with Production and Shift Management teams, you will play a vital role in minimising downtime, improving machinery reliability and ensuring the smooth operation of the facility.
Due to the nature of our production environment, the successful candidate will primarily work Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 6:00pm. However, flexibility is essential, as there will be occasions when maintenance activities, machinery installations, upgrades, repairs or project work need to be undertaken outside normal operating hours. This may include weekend working to minimise disruption to production and ensure equipment reliability.
A degree of flexibility in working hours is therefore required, and overtime or weekend working will be available and expected when business needs dictate.
Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
