Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roof Slater to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Measure and cut roofing materials accurately using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Install roofing components following schematics, technical drawings, and safety standards
- Use welding techniques when necessary to secure metal roofing elements or flashing
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely to ensure efficient workflow
- Apply masonry, carpentry, plumbing, or other construction skills as needed for specialized roofing projects
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, including proper storage of tools and materials
Requirements
- Proven experience in roofing installation or repair with a solid understanding of construction practices
- Proficiency with schematics, technical drawings, and fabrication processes
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Knowledge of masonry, carpentry, plumbing, or masonry work is a plus for versatile project support
- Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail to ensure precise installation
- Valid experience with heavy lifting techniques and safety protocols in construction environments
