County Stone Ltd is a busy, family-run stone fabrication company supplying worktops, fireplaces and memorials throughout Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and London. We currently have an opening for a worktop installer/templater.
Duties:
- Supporting with templating for worktops using both the traditional and digital methods
- Supporting with installations
- Driving to and from site/developments/customer homes
- Maintaining the van and tools allocated to you
- Completing paperwork to a high standard
- Manual handling
- Use of hand tools
- Supporting the fabrication team
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the factory, showroom etc.
What it takes to be a member of our team:
Experience in this industry is an advantage but not essential; being willing to learn, reliable and being able to work as part of a team is important. Having a positive approach to learning about our products are the qualities we look for.
Essential Skills:
- Good understanding of sizes (using metric system, tape measure)
- Understanding of safe use of chemicals such as glue and silicone
- Capable of manual handling both solo and in team lifts
- Working well under pressure
- Good problem solving skills, able to use initiative in challenging situations
Essential attributes:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate with people in different roles both internally and externally
- Able to cope with the demands of a physical role
- High personal standards including hygiene and appearance
- Self-motivated with a positive approach to work
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance history
Due to the nature of this role, a full, clean, UK driving license is essential. Ideally candidates will be in the local area - long commutes become tiresome,
