We are currently looking for an experienced driver to deliver and collect Brown & Carroll products to and from site (mainly London).
1. Responsible for delivery & collection of Brown & Carroll products in a timely, safe, and legal manner.
· Operating within the law of transport management, working time directive and drivers working hours rules.
· Carrying out detailed daily vehicle checks prior to leaving the yard, recording any defects, and reporting these to the line manager.
· Assisting with, and overseeing, the loading of the vehicle within legal limits ensuring the load is secured/strapped and safe to travel on the public highway.
· Working alongside & supporting all drivers for the loading & unloading of goods vehicles.
· Ensuring that there is detailed paperwork for time sheets, delivery documentation and collection paperwork, checking off at each delivery location to ensure the right product is being delivered to the correct location. Attention to detail is a must.
· Adhering to all site Health & Safety instructions using company provided PPE at all times.
2. Liaising and working with other key departments to ensure effective collection & delivery requirements are met (to include suppliers)
· Calling sites in advance to advise ETA.
· Reporting to the traffic office any traffic delays or disruptions that will affect delivery times.
· Reporting any damages or shortages prior to leaving delivery/collection location.
3. Responsible for positively contributing to a safe work environment ensure compliance with Brown & Carroll Integrated Management System
· Complete all mandatory Health & Safety training and corporate refresher training where required including all FORS recommended training.
· Reporting all accidents or near misses in a timely manner - commercial or personal.
4. Drivers Licence and Driver CPC Certification
· Ensuring driving licence is always up to date and reporting immediately any changes that may affect your ability to drive.
· Must always have an up-to-date Driver CPC Card and ensure all annual training is completed to retain the driver CPC Standard.
5. To undertake any other duties within your skills confidence to support the attainment of Brown & Carroll’s key objectives
· Ensure continuous improvement of role and development of self
· Seek to continuously improve the quality and value of administrative support provided by working with key colleagues
6. Responsible for positively contributing to a safe work environment ensuring compliance with relevant statutory regulations and quality standards. Protect all personal information in adherence with GDPR
· Complete all mandatory Health and Safety training and any corporate refresher training where required.
Skill and Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
· Valid LGV licence minimum requirement Category C licence
· Applicants must be aged 25 or over to meet the eligibility requirements of the company’s insurance policy.
· Clean Drivers Licence, No points
· Must have held full UK or EU driving licence for minimum of 2 years
· Valid Driver CPC certification
· Full knowledge of driver’s hours regulations
· Full knowledge of working time directive

· Physically fit to enable manual handling requirements heavy lifting involved
