The Role
We are looking for a Draftsperson to join our Technical Department.
In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate manufacturing drawings and technical documentation to support both our in-house production team and subcontract manufacturers. You will also play an active role in the design and development of new products, helping to bring innovative ideas from concept through to manufacture.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong CAD skills who enjoys solving engineering challenges and working closely with manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed manufacturing drawings and technical documentation using SolidWorks.
- Create and maintain 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Modify and update existing models and drawings.
- Manage engineering documentation using our PDM system.
- Prepare manufacturing files for subcontract suppliers.
- Liaise with customers regarding bespoke engineering projects.
- Support the design and development of new products and manufacturing solutions.
- Work closely with the Sales and Production departments to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure all drawings and documentation meet company and manufacturing standards.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience using SolidWorks and PDM Workgroup (or similar PDM software).
- Knowledge of product design and development processes.
- Experience producing manufacturing drawings to industry standards.
- A good understanding of manufacturing processes, including sheet metal, CNC machining and fabrication.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- A practical approach and confidence working within a manufacturing environment.
- A full UK driving licence.

Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm
Friday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

This is a full-time, office-based position at our manufacturing facility. Please note that hybrid or remote working is not available.
