Freelance Exhibition / Cabinet Maker
We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and detail-oriented Exhibition/Cabinet Maker to join our team.
The role involves the fabrication and assembly of high-quality exhibition setworks, display furniture, and bespoke cabinetry for museums and cultural institutions. You’ll need to have a strong background in cabinet making, joinery, and carpentry, with confidence using a wide range of hand and power tools. A high standard of craftsmanship and attention to detail is essential.
The position will be based primarily at our workshop in South London, although there will be occasional opportunities to work on-site during exhibition installations.
This is a freelance/self-employed position, with the potential for regular, ongoing work for the right candidate.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience in cabinet making, joinery, or exhibition fabrication.
- Excellent woodworking skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence using workshop machinery, hand tools, and power tools safely.
- The ability to interpret technical drawings and work accurately from plans.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
