Shift Pattern: Days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

We are looking for compassionate, motivated and resilient Residential Support Workers to join our Supported Accommodation service for young people aged 16–18. About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to young people living within our supported accommodation. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will help young people develop essential independent living skills, build positive relationships and work towards their individual goals.
You will work in line with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023, Ofsted Quality Standards, safeguarding legislation and organisational policies to ensure young people receive high-quality support in a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build positive, trusting and professional relationships with young people.
- Provide practical, emotional and social support tailored to individual needs.
- Support young people to develop independence skills including budgeting, cooking, cleaning, shopping, tenancy readiness and managing appointments.
- Encourage participation in education, employment, training and volunteering opportunities.
- Promote positive physical and emotional wellbeing.
- Support young people to develop confidence, resilience and healthy relationships.
- Encourage community engagement and participation in positive recreational activities.
- Work alongside social workers, Personal Advisers, education providers and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
- Act as a Key Worker, supporting young people to achieve their support plan goals and regularly reviewing progress.
- Complete accurate daily records, support plans, risk assessments and incident reports.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion at all times.
- Maintain professional boundaries while providing consistent, person-centred support.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming living environment.
- Attend team meetings, supervision sessions and mandatory training.

Essential Requirements
- Minimum one year's experience supporting care-experienced young people within supported accommodation, residential care, leaving care, housing support or a similar setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to write clear, accurate and professional records.
- Good IT skills.
- Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
Desirable
- Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Children & Young People's Workforce or equivalent (or willingness to work towards one).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
