Job Title: Night Shift Cleaner — Shopping Centre (4 on / 4 off, 12‑hour shifts)
Hours: Night shifts, 12 hours (4 days on, 4 days off) 18:00 pm–06:00 am
About the Role
We’re seeking reliable, hard-working cleaners to join our night team at Shopping Centre . As a night shift cleaner you’ll help keep the centre clean, safe and welcoming for customers and tenants. This role follows a 4 on / 4 off roster working 12‑hour night shifts, ideal for people who prefer concentrated blocks of work and predictable time off.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize public areas: corridors, restrooms, food courts, entrances and seating areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and deep clean floors and stairways
- Empty bins, replace liners and manage waste disposal (including recycling)
- Clean and restock public toilets and baby-changing facilities
- Clean shopfronts, glass surfaces and high-touch points (handrails, door handles, lift buttons)
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, spillages or security concerns to site management
- Follow health & safety, COSHH and infection-control procedures and use PPE correctly
- Operate cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners) safely and perform basic daily checks
- Work with night security/management to ensure smooth handover and incident reporting
What We’re Looking For
- Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential — full training provided
- Ability to work nights and follow a 4 on / 4 off, 12‑hour roster reliably
- Physically fit and able to lift/move cleaning equipment and supplies (standard manual handling)
- Good time management and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness
- Basic English for communication and health & safety compliance
- Right to work in England
Desirable
- Experience operating floor care machines (ride-on/ walk-behind scrubbers)
- COSHH or manual handling certification
- Experience working in retail, leisure or shopping centre environments
