Enhanced DBS School Cleaner (SEN School) – St Helens
About the Role
LCC Ltd is looking to recruit reliable and experienced School Cleaners to join our team at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) School in St Helens, near Moss Bank.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced school cleaners who take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and understand the importance of providing a safe, hygienic environment for pupils and staff.
Cleaning takes place after the school day has finished, with 3-hour evening shifts, Monday to Friday during term time.
In addition, successful candidates will be required to complete one allocated deep cleaning day during each half-term school holiday.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas
- Cleaning toilets and washrooms to a high standard
- Vacuuming, mopping and dusting
- Emptying bins and replenishing consumables
- Following cleaning schedules and health & safety procedures
- Reporting any maintenance or health & safety issues to the supervisor
- Completing deep cleaning tasks during school holiday periods
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1 years’ experience cleaning in a school or nursery (essential)
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (essential)
- High attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of cleaning standards and health & safety
