An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our teaching and learning team in the Department of Statistics at the University of Warwick, building teaching experience within a vibrant teaching and research environment.
We offer a range of degree programmes including BSc and Integrated master’s in mathematics and Statistics, MORSE (Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics) and Data Science. We have a large number of international students and a capable and motivated student body – our standard entry requirements are A*A*A including mathematics and further mathematics. We deliver around 60 modules ranging from first year mathematical techniques to masters-level advanced topics.
As a Tutor, you will have a leading involvement in delivering problem classes, tutorials and computer practicals and grading assignments for undergraduate students. You will also contribute to a range of other teaching and learning activities, possibly including personal tutoring, outreach, and open days. Up to 20% of your time will be allocated to personal professional development, for example to pursue a research programme in Statistics or a related discipline or for ongoing professional development of your pedagogical skills and knowledge.

About You
Successful candidates will be highly motivated, with a good honour’s degree in a relevant subject and a sound understanding of Statistics and Mathematics at University level. Ability to teach the use of relevant software packages and programming languages is desirable.
You will be enthusiastic and committed to delivering a high-quality learning experience.
You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, aiding in the delivery and development of a busy teaching programme at Warwick.
You will have excellent planning, time management and communication skills, and must be able to engage with and enthuse students during their learning experience to facilitate effective learning.
