Fixed Term for 6 months, Full Time
Location: North Parks team based at 41 Sea Mills Road, Bristol, BS5 6NL. You could also be asked to work in other areas of the city.
This is a great opportunity to join us in Bristol Parks in this role helping to keep our parks and green spaces clean and safe.
You will be working in our beautiful estates, formal parks and nature reserves, as well as around play areas and sports pitches across the city.
You will have an important and visible role, working outdoors in all weathers to make sure our parks and green spaces are welcoming and attractive places to visit.
You will be working some weekends on a rota which will involve, on average working two weekends a month.
As a committed individual in this role, we will offer you training and support to progress into Gardener and Chargehand positions as opportunities arise.
What will I be doing?
- Litter picking and bin emptying.
- Clearing flytip from parks and green spaces.
Occasional assistance with grass cutting and shrub maintenance with use of hand held machinery.
What do I need to have?
- Full driving licence for use in the UK and ability to drive a wide range of vehicles.
- Ability to carry out the physical demands of the role, working outdoors and at weekends.
- Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
- Good communication skills.
