Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them in a courteous manner
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and upsell where appropriate to enhance guest experience
- Ensure tables are cleared promptly and reset for new guests
- Handle guest queries or complaints professionally, aiming for swift resolution
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including tables, menus, and utensils
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties if required, adhering to food safety standards
- Process payments accurately using the POS system
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Good communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions
- Experience in serving or culinary roles is advantageous but not mandatory
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.79-£14.00 per hour
