We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care, including working in the service user homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with dementia, ensuring they receive the best possible care in a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and physical well-being.
- Uphold the dignity and respect of all clients while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
- A valid driving licence is essential
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
