Job Overview
As one of our Power Equipment Service & Repair Engineers you will ensure that we are providing our customers with safe and reliable equipment. You will be responsible for the inspection; testing, maintenance, cleaning and repair of a wide range of hire equipment from small tools, power tools, industrial cleaning equipment, power generators, pumps, plant and much more.
Responsibilities
- PDI’s, Servicing & Repairing Tool Hire Equipment & our customer’s own equipment
- Ensuring all repairs and maintenance are completed in accordance with manufacturer and Company standards, including carrying out comprehensive safety checks of all hire equipment before dispatch/return and completing and including all necessary documentation
- Working effectively in a small team
- Maintain & exceed workshop targets & efficiency
- Completing job cards, writing reports, and maintaining records of work completed
- Ensuring that we have sufficient volumes of core hire equipment available at all times
- Occasional onsite repairs
- Maintain Health & Safety to HSE & Company Standards
- Attaining and maintaining training and competence standards and qualification as are legally and operationally required for you to carry out your key duties
- As part of the role you will also be expected to assist within the depot team as required
Requirements
- Previous engineering experience working on a range of small tools and power equipment including power tools, outdoor power equipment (2-stroke & 4-stroke), mechanical equipment construction equipment and generally all types of equipment found on a modern hire fleet
- Previous experience within the tool hire industry
- Technical understanding of hire equipment
- Analytical approach to problem solving
- Able to work without instruction and to take responsibility
- Work well under pressure
- Clean, current driving licence
Pay: £36,000.00 per year
