Martin & Co are one of the leading letting and estate agents in Newark and are looking for an enthusiastic letting negotiator to join our busy team.
A minimum of 1 years experience working in a letting environment is essential. The successful candidate will excel at communicating in person, by telephone and by email, will have a flexible approach and the ability to work well under pressure alone and in a team. A full clean UK driving licence is required as a pool car is provided.
The post involves working every Saturday with a day off in the week and will also require the successful applicant to cover in our Grantham office on an ad hoc basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Applicant enquiries — responding promptly and professionally
- Booking and conducting viewings — showing properties and securing applications
- Negotiating — agreeing terms between landlords and tenants
- Progressing applications — referencing, compliance checks, drawing up inventories and coordinating move‑ins
- Property inspections – carrying out regular inspections of managed properties and providing feedback to Landlords. Arranging maintenance to address problems identified
- Sign out inspections – carrying out final inspections, liaising with Landlords, tenants, contractors and deposit schemes to agree deposit return and organise any remedial works
- Maintaining accurate records — updating our Jupix database, websites etc
- Building strong client relationships — ensuring landlords and tenants receive clear, timely updates
- Supporting the wider team — contributing to smooth daily operations, providing cover for other team members

Pay: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
