Event Crew Member (60 Hours Per Month Contract)
PLEASE ONLY APPLY VIA INDEED OR EMAIL - MESSAGES NOT ACCEPTED!
We’re looking for a reliable and flexible team member to join our event crew on a guaranteed 60-hour per month contract.
Pay: National Living Wage. This is a PAYE position, paid through payroll. It is not a cash-in-hand role.
Please read this advert carefully before applying.
We’re being completely transparent about the role because we want to find the right person for a long-term position. While we’ve advertised this role before, we’re not looking to recruit repeatedly—we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys the flexibility of the events industry and wants to become a valued, long-term member of our team. Our experience has shown that, despite explaining the flexible nature of the work, the varying shift patterns aren’t suitable for everyone. We’d much rather be upfront about what’s involved so that anyone applying knows exactly what to expect and can decide whether the role is the right fit for them.
What to expect
* Guaranteed minimum of 60 hours per month.
* Paid at National Living Wage through PAYE payroll
.* Shifts vary depending on client bookings.
* Some days may involve a single daytime booking.
* Other days may include a morning booking, a break of a few hours, then an evening booking.
* Start and finish times can vary, including early mornings and late evenings
.* Most rotas are provided around a month in advance, although occasional last-minute bookings do arise.Because our workload depends on customer bookings, flexibility is essential. When there are fewer event bookings, you’ll be expected to assist with general admin, equipment preparation, or other business tasks to make up your contracted hours.
Availability
We’re looking for someone who can make this role their primary work commitment. The successful applicant will be expected to work most weekends and be available for the varying shift patterns that come with the events industry.
We completely understand that people have commitments outside of work, such as childcare or school runs, and these can often be accommodated with advance notice. However, this role isn’t suitable for someone who is only available on certain weekends, specific days or limited hours, as our bookings require a high level of flexibility.
We’re looking for someone who:
* Is happy working flexible weekends.
* Is comfortable with split shifts and varying start and finish times.
* Is reliable, punctual and enjoys working as part of a team.
* Can adapt to changing schedules when required.
* Is looking for a long-term role and wants to grow with our team.
* Has a full UK manual driving license
If you’re looking for a predictable 9-5 weekend job, this probably isn’t the right role. However, if you enjoy varied work, live events and being part of a busy team, we’d love to hear from you.
