We are seeking a dedicated Garden Maintenance Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring gardens and green spaces are healthy, attractive, and well-kept. Responsibilities
- utilise hand tools and power tools to carry out gardening tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching
- operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
- perform landscape maintenance including lawn mowing, edging, and trimming
- manage garden debris by raking, clearing, and composting waste materials
- monitor plant health and identify potential pests or diseases for appropriate action
- follow safety protocols when handling tools and equipment to prevent accidents or injuries
- collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and uphold high standards of garden presentation
Qualifications
- previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- familiarity with hand tools, machines, and general garden care is advantageous
- ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual tasks
- good organisational skills and attention to detail
- a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to gardening and landscape management
