We are looking for multi skilled machine operators - Front Loading Shovel with a tip toe bucket & 360 excavator operators.
These positions are to strengthen our night operation working between Sunday night and Saturday morning, the shift will be 5 nights each week starting Sunday one week and Monday the following week. Weekend working is available and will be paid at a premium rate. During busy periods these hours are adapted to suit the needs of the business however you will be provided with adequate notice of any changes to your normal working pattern as it may mean working an alternative shift.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Operating machinery in a safe and efficient manner
- Carry our pre-start up checks and end of shift checks
- Keep all vehicles you operate clean and tidy at all times
- Load-out of material onto walking floor lorries
- Undertake all plant operations as required
- Always follow site Health and Safety rules and procedures
- Regular communication with colleagues using a handheld radio
- Perform any other task given within your capabilities and at any other of our sites
Successful candidates must hold valid licenses for all associated machinery and must demonstrate competency during a trial at interview stages. You will also have a wealth of experience in operating machinery within a similar fast paced working environment. If you are first aid trained this will also be beneficial. Excellent communication skills are key as you will be expected to communicate with colleagues at all times. The job is performed out side and full PPE will be provided for all weather conditions.

Starting hourly rate of pay is £16.50. However, depending on your proven experience during a probationary period this may be increased.
