Finance Assistant – Property Finance
Must be AAT level 3 qualified
Location: Finchley, (Office-Based – 5 Days per Week)

Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per year (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are a specialist property finance lender providing flexible funding solutions across bridging and development lending for residential and commercial property. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to develop their career within the fast-paced property finance sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
- Process bookkeeping transactions and journal entries.
- Manage daily payment runs and payment processing.
- Allocate and monitor customer receipts.
- Support credit control activities and reporting.
- Prepare portfolio statements for funders.
- Produce mortgage and redemption statements for borrowers.
- Manage the finance inbox, responding to and resolving queries promptly.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- At least 5 years' experience in an accounts or finance role.
- Experience within property finance, bridging finance, buy-to-let, residential or commercial lending (preferred).
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
- Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping.
- Experience with both accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint.
- An accounting or bookkeeping qualification (preferred).
